Platinum and gold bands from the summer.

    CTX 3030
Work put a dent in my shallow water hunting this summer but I still managed to find a few rings being a weekend warrior. All of these finds were made in the water with the 11 inch search coil except for one heavy white gold band that was a recent dry sand find using the 6 inch coil.

Now that’s a sight to see! Got some serious gold/platinum grams there.

All of these bands were found using the CTX 3030 in the water.

Excellent results Gary, have you had the opportunity to try the CTX large coil on the wet sand

These Spanish finds are from one low tide hunt last month along the Treasure Coast of Florida using the large 17 X 13 search coil on my CTX 3030. One Spanish 1715 fleet wreck site beach had a small amount of erosion, searching lower down in the hard pack wet sand I pulled a few deep finds out including a Spanish 1715 fleet silver one reale, a couple of bronze ship spikes, several pieces of copper sheeting with square holes, a bronze hinge. As you can see by these finds the 17 X 13 was deep enough to find large bronze finds but sensitive enough to find a thin silver target. These beaches are heavily hunted so I am sure a few guys with stock 10 & 11 inch search coils had walked over this stuff without getting any signals. I also found a couple of nice ballast stones washed up.
    Cheers Gary

I just try to make the most of the situation living in South Florida, searching for wreck related stuff from the Spanish treasure fleets and modern gold on the tourist beaches. I am so looking forward to my next trip to Lincolnshire visiting the folks and walking around with a detector in the fields instead of on the beach.

Lincolnshire is a good county for detecting Gary, I lived for many years in South Lincolnshire and belonged to the Boston Metal Detecting Club, amazing finds made by it's members, really good times and many happy memories. Have a good trip over and hope you have a great time detecting.
