    Question What Headphones

    That age old question?

Best phones for use with the Explorer II

A few have been suggested i.e. KOSS UR-30, Sun Ray Pro-Gold, Gray Ghost, have also read a few of the posts on the Chefphones, any suggestions or recommendation's would be appreciated!

I wouldn't bother with the Koss phones - they are not designed for outdoor use, they are more for listening to music in a nice armchair. They do not stay on your head very well either. Sound is good though.
There's a lot on the subject in the forum!

    Hi
I do not have an SE but do have an Etrac and find Gray Ghosts are very good but really could do with a longer cord, I'm over 6ft so find it a problem. Also had Koss UR 30 as standard issue with the etrac they went in the reserve pile within two outings as the cord is too short also and they are very loose fit and just pull off your head at least the Gray Ghost are a snug tight fit.
Not sure if my audio settings are wrong or I'm going deaf but I cannot get the gray ghost to a good sound level always seem too quiet even with twiddling the volume buttons on the units.
Not used any others to comment on.

    Thanks to all who replied

Has anyone got an opinion on the Chefphones, not heard or read anything bad as yet, also the Gray Ghost NDT's?

    Thanks,

    Billy

    Will keep you updated.
Price is 90 quid including shipping for a full set with volume control on each side and a 2 way switch to be used on all machines.
Price is 80 quid including delivery for a set with one volume control and on/off switch ( for etrac, explorer, and CTX wireless module) but cannot be used on many other machines.
Will let you know when I expect to have some ready. Should I put you on the waiting list for a pair?

Good choice. I've heard nothing but high praise for the Dog's Danglies.
