Etrac or ctx3030 or Deus xp

Had the etrac a year is the 3030 a lot better machine than the etrac or is there not much in it as any body used the etrac for a few year then got the 3030 and played with it or is it just the price got the votes because not always dearest is the best ..... And I dose the xp Deus fair against the pair

My tuppence worth......... the DEUS is a single frequency in use machine (although that frequency can be adjusted) they have faster recovery and can cover more ground and are much lighter. E-Trac is multi-frequency that can be tweaked into the most effective all round machine available giving sensitivity and depth but are slower on recovery and heavier with poor ergonomics for many. The CTX3030 is the next step in technology with additional functionality such as target trace,mapping etc. it has vastly improved ergonomics and feels lighter despite weighing more than the E-Trac...and its waterproof.
All have good points.....your choice ...either way know your machine upside down & inside out, its amazing what they can do.

Based on the 100 odd hours i have used the Ctx the seperation is allot better than the Etrac and i used it for over 2 years.
And that,s not mentioning all the other Atributes that has allready been mentioned.
The ergonomics are a revelation with the Ctx,simply astounding.

i can now say hand on heart the ctx is alot better than etrac for roman sites. on mine i found 7 grots in 20 mins detecting that i had hammerd with etrac 1 or 2 yes ok but 7 says a bit i think. its the ability to seperate targets in trash or iron.

When talking about a detector he probably means that the shape and balance of the machine really make it feel comfortable and lighter than it actually is.
