Sugar Beet and the mobile phone.

Last night i received a call from one of my farmer's where i detect saying he had lost his mobile in a sugar beet field. He was desperate to find it because of important contact's etc on it.I met him today and asked for a direction and which field etc.He said it was at another village where he farmed and off we went.He left me to it but to be honest did not expect much joy swinging a detector nearly 2 ft off the ground above sugar beet plant's.After only 45 minutes detecting ,got a signal and low and behold one mobile phone.Maybe more luck than judgement ,but a result.Dropped the mobile off with the farmer's son who could not believe it.Hope i can get some new permission on this land now,but pleased i could help.

Well done, very good pr with the farmer and maybe he will tell adjoining landowners about your good deed and they offer you land to detect on. Farmers are a very close knit community, good luck and hope it pays dividends.

I had a call today and asked to find a tiny platinum and diamond ear ring......I took the Deus as the battery was dead on the Etrac......got to the house and did a air test on the other ear ring she had.......and got NO signal what so ever.....will try the etrac tomorrow - was quite surprised at the lack of signal though ???!!!

Why Waste time using an ordinary detector when you have the option to use a GPX4800.
