    Beach finds 27/07/12 with the Terra'ific 705

On Thursday morning i got up for work at 5am for 7am start, during the day i decided to hit the beach later after work. When i had finished work at 6pm i got home had a shower and the other 2 es's got my stuff and a load of drink and got the bus to the beach. I got there at 8pm , i got on to the beach , there were quite a few bonfires and barbiques going on and lots of people on the beach as well but no other detectorists so i got stuck in and started to find more coinage that people seem to find easy to lose. By midnight i had £35.10p and i had already decided to do the entire night without sleep , after the odd quiet spell my total crept up all night and by 7am i had beaten my high score , by 8.28am i had £103.56p in coinage , a silver ring, a ring with 750 18k in it but is a fake bronze signet ring , 4 pier tokens and a few other mainly foreign coins.
At about 4am i started to see other detectorists searching but i think i might have spoilt their broth a bit i think ? sorry , well maybe not
When i finished i went to a supermarket and bought some food and more drink, stuffed my face and got the bus home. I was bloody knackered so have been to busy to put this lot up till now.
I will be out again soon , must get to the target i have set myself so i can donate a good amount to the chosen good causes i have chosen. Hope to beat my last years total by the end of August, actually maybe a lot earlier.
Wood like to do a club dig but my digs are a lot more productive for me although someone found a Stater today but i was working so that was never going to be mine . my beach total for the year is as below , my land total is 0 , which if i black this year will be the first since 2002 when i started detecting.
I dont think i care any more.
The X.Terra 705 or maybe all Terra's are bloody brilliant and i want the upgrade when it comes.

It really is the best dry beach machine for shingle ever .

Looks like a decent reward for all that hard work. Well done.

    Richard,

A lot of work well rewarded.

The 705 is a much underrated detector and I can vouch for that on both land and sea..

It is amazing to find so much cash on the beach and to carry around that weight of coinage, must be around 1.5kg so I admire your stamina as well Richard. You should beat last years total easily at this rate.
