    Re: Gordons Famous

When you think about it a very small percentage of detectorists acheive the altimate by finding something special, of that small percentage I would imagine that the finds were found by luck, but some must have been found by research, well done to all of them.

I'll watch it on plus 1.

Not been impressed with it so far. Some really spectacular finds but the presenting is tedious and seems done to a formula.

I'm enjoying the brief glimpses of these precious finds, although I would really like more background details on each item. Though, perhaps the non detecting public would be bored if it was elongated!

Watched it but if you blink you will miss Gordons moment of fame.

I must agree that the idea is great but the presentation and the background info is terrible.

Gordons find is spectacular and should have been higher up the countdown.

Yep seen your find Gordon, well your find is spectacular, it looks heavy as well. must of been heavy to wear , On my wish list, I think the programme is ok in that we can all see the wonderful finds people have found. But the presentation is poor though, you and Gary could of made a more exciting programme, with Dave (Cumbrian Fox) and his gun to bring some humour to the series.

I shot this piece on a small Fujifilm XP (Des Dunn's recommendation, not bad for €70)... sound from the internal mic's not great, but better than nothing.

Redheat MkII.... but any detector would've got it and two-feet of top soil had been stripped for a new road within a building site. The pot containing the gold was then a further eight-inches into the clay.

Fantastic. Nice to have time to really see the items and the markings on the torc, can't believe how pathetic the amount of time spent on the actual items was on the programme. Thanks for your film it was wonderful to see those sensational items, very very beautiful.
