Its just not worth planting anything this year.

Well its the first time ever since moving to Banchory 27 years ago that i have not got atleast 10 dozen bedding plants in to the ground around my house.
There has been so much rain, its just not worth it and im sure the garden centres are really suffering.

I usually have bedding plants hanging baskets and container plants but nothing this year due to the never ending rain and its going to get worse before it gets better.
    Bloody pest it is.

I'm finding it not too bad here, stuff is a good two or three weeks late flowering but it's all growing like mad. My biggest problem is finding long enough dry spells to be able to cut the lawn which just won't stop growing even though it's mostly moss this year

Here's hoping for a dry autumn.

In wet Wales my tomatoes look awful, the cucumbers have rotted off, the baskets and pots are slow but ok.

rain for at lest a month here, my mate reckons that "they" are salting the clouds to make it rain now so it will be dry for the Olympics. but he also thinks the queen is a lizard so he might not be that reliable.

Complete opposite here in Rochester Kent. My garden has never been so green, the grass is going nuts and needs cutting every couple of weeks in-between wet spells. All my bedding plants are growing vigorously and I've even got a number of last years plants coming up and flowering when they were supposed to only last one season. My hanging baskets are doing great and I recon they are the best they have ever been. And my apple trees are full of apples, even my grape vine is loaded with twice as many grapes as last year but what wouldn't I give for several weeks of sun shine..... just so the crops can be harvested and I can get out in the fields
