    Xchange 2 Program Security

    CTX 3030
    Hey Gary,

Downloaded and installed the new Exchange 2 program but am to curious to why you have to login to be able to use the mapping features? What exactly does minelab want to track?

Also I just wanted to make sure that Exchange 2 is database driven and that all the different files including waypoint and find points are actually stored on your own computer and not on the minelab cloud or something?

Just want to make sure that if someone was able to hack your minelab account and had Exchange 2 installed that they could not see any of your information.

Guess I might just be paranoid

Wait... I think I heard something

The software is database driven and the data is stored on your computer.
Minelab track nothing... ONLY the times the software is being used.
Its an AUS marketing thing... they just want figures.

In my personal opinion its a waste of time and casues distrust.
But who listens to what I say???

    Distrust is right.

I immediately was like WTH, minelab is trying to get me detecting spots.

Might just be me, but they may want to clarify for everyone.

Thanks for the follow up Gary.

    Greetings from Tasmania
Have been away from detecting for a while and reading the forum came across exchange 2 software.
Can someone please tell me about it (or point me to the right place) and is it suitable for my xterra 70?
