After lengthy discussions with Dave Phillips and some of the members we have come to the conclusion that this years get together at Bedford will go ahead before our Corfe meeting with Weekend wanderers rally sandwiched in between for those that want to go there also. This years Bedford will not be run like last year in conjunction with Central Searchers, it will be purely for any members of Minelabowners who want to go (not just platinum members like Corfe) plus a few of daves personal friends.
This farm and campsite for those who didn't go last year extends to some 700 acres and is about 5 miles from Bedford on the Northampton road.
At this stage we want to know names and possible amount of days you want to do at Bedford. Numbers are going to be capped at around 50 per day so get your names and possible days on this post FAST, first come first served.
Dave will collect payment in advance at a bit later date BY CHEQUE OR POSTAL ORDER ONLY sent to his address which we will post later.
THERE WILL BE NO PAYING ON THE DAY other than if somebody is travelling from overseas and can't send payment in advance.
This year will be different in that all fields will be open together like we do at Corfe, hopefully this will solve some of the hassles of last year.
Dave hasn't a clue what fields will be available obviously until the time, this will depend on weather and crop conditions etc.
THE ONE PET HATE THAT DAVE HAS AND INSISTS ON IS THAT ANYBODY CAUGHT NOT ATTEMPTING TO FILL THEIR HOLES PROPERLY BY STAMPING THE SOIL BACK IN WILL BE INSTANTLY SENT HOME WITH NO RETURN OF MONIES. This caused a lot of the troubles last year and why a couple of the fields were shut early. Its down to all of us to check this doesn't happen to keep things peaceful.
Showers will hopefully be available again in the sports club at £2 per shower.

( many of us will be making a week of it at corfe)

CAMPING FOR MOTORHOMES AND CARAVANS (WITH HOOK UP) £12 NIGHT
TENTS £7-50 NIGHT (upto two people in tent) extra people + £3 each.
