Cut half for ID (Deus & Large Coil!)

I thought those of you who, like myself, have a Deus in addition to a Minelab machine might be interested in this cut half which I found yesterday. Only about 4" deep but gave a very clear signal using the large coil.

Sorry that the photographs are not to the same scale - I blame photobucket

Hi Steve, thanks for the ID. How quick was that - you must be sitting on your computer waiting to help lost souls

Why Waste time using an ordinary detector when you have the option to use a GPX4800.

Well done Dave - happy with the Deus ?
I prefer the large coil - though does defeat the whole weight issue

Just got back to the forum after slight iMac problems! Thanks to all for your kind comments.

I agree about the large coil's weight/balance Jerry. It's back to the Doc's Swingy Thingy Harness for me.

And, yes, I am very happy with the Deus - who would not be with 3 Gold coins found in 3 different areas since October, 2010 ,

Re: Cut half for ID (Deus & Large Coil!)

I solved my large coil problem for Under £2 thanks to an idea from Claydigger.

A simple adapter changed the centre of gravity without changing the coil lugs or the bottom shaft fixing hole..Jerry.

Hi JBM, Whats that Deus coil adapter made from? the picture is a little small. I've just got the big coil for my Deus and its a bit nose down.
Anything to pull back the centre of gravity should be ideal.
    thanks Dave
